Abu Dhabi Tour and Dubai Tour to merge in 2019

sounds like a good idea to me
Anything that gives us fewer of those pointless petrodollar Mickey Mouse races is a good idea! :D

Liege-Bastogne-Liege will finish in the city centre next year - not in Ans anymore, which hosted the arrival of the race since 1992 :cool

Welsh government were talking to the RCS about hosting the start, last year.

Surely, with Israel this year, it must be Matera?

you would think so, but a couple of weeks ago I read that Marseille was more or less in the pole position. Could be for one or two days only and then cross the boarder on the bike

There will be no Dwars door West-Vlaanderen in 2019. This year's soaking wet edition, in which #quickstep rouleurs Cavagna and Sénéchal worked over #lotto youngster Frison, will not follow on due to a lack of volunteers.

    Fjorrway?

Norway and Fjords will merge in 2019. You can read the article, but as you can imagine both sides are talking things up and tbh having both of them and Hammer one after another did seem overkill. On the other hand it is one less race.

You know, Wales has got some halfway decent mountains. I think I could actually like that - if they did it right. They could just do a stupid tourist-start in Caernarvon. No - wait. A half-assed prologue in Caenarvon, that could do. Then a medium mountain stage, of the sort to favor the breakaway - that way the GC guys can keep their powder dry. And it could show off one of those Welsh towns with a name that takes ten times as long to spell as it does to pass thru the town. That way could have a bit of the coast, and a bit of the mountains - all good for the Giro!
