Mader ---------> #didata ?
Better to get in front of this before the Swiss start their world domination:
His name is Mäder. With an Ä. Not Mader with an A.
And no, Anglophones, that is not the same letter. :P

Just like Michael Schär - not Schar.
Same with Patrick Müller - not Muller.
And Lukas Rüegg - not Ruegg. As far as I know, it's pronounced Rü-egg, with two distinctive vowels. Sort of like the French word for street + the English word for egg. :)

    Rojas --------> #aevolo

    PCS, First, Cycling Archives etc only show a couple of results for him, but a bit of googling this morning showed that's been racing for a bit in the States (something to do with Nate and Jonny Brown's dad) and it was probably his performance at Gila which caught Aevolo's attention. Not in the UCI event, but in the level below that (they call it Men Cat 1-2). He finished second overall in the GC as a junior ahead of Mawditt (11th in Herald Sun and 3rd in Joe Martin) and half of the US junior team that competed at the Worlds (Quinn, Vollmer and Sheehan). The only person who beat him was Fortunato Ferrara who's name rings bells with regard to the Mount Evans Hill Climb.

    Could be a good one to follow. :cool

    Timmermans is the fifth transfer out of Delta. Is that them folding at the end of the year?

    Anyway those three transfer complete the team for 2019 according to the report.

    #onepro Szymon Tracz --> #ccc CCC Development Team

    https://rowery.org/2018/10/05/szymon-tracz-kolarzem-ccc-development-team/

    Not that I know much about him - but we can take that as an official confirmation that the planed development team (with a continental license) will really be around next year, I guess

    edit: okay, seems like I just missed the official confirmation the other day

    Quote
    There will be 12 young riders on the roster and for some of them it will be the first season in U23 category – Piotr Wadecki, sport director of current CCC Sprandi Polkowice team explains. – For second-year juniors the transition to U23 ranks is often very hard and in many cases that’s the turning point. By establishing this development team we want to help those most talented and ambitious riders, so that transition to professional cycling is as smooth as possible.

    https://cccsport.eu/en/ccc-development-team-in-2019-season/

    doesn't sound like the kind of team many of the current CCC riders will find a place in

    haven't read that, but Het Nieuwsblad today sounded very confident that it's going to be Corendon

    Quote
    De broers Philippe en Christoph Roodhooft bouwen hun ploeg rond Mathieu van der Poel verder uit. Ook Joeri Stallaert (27) zal volgend jaar voor Corendon-Circus rijden. De renner van Team Vorarlberg Santic bevestigde dat gisteren na zijn verwinning in de Osst-Vlaamse sluitingsprijs in Zele. "Officieel mag ik dat niet zeggen," knipoogde Stallaert, "maar laten we het erop houden dat ik volgend jaar een stap hogerop zal zetten."

    (gt) The brothers Philippe and Christoph Roodhooft further develop their team around Mathieu van der Poel. Joeri Stallaert (27) will also race for Corendon-Circus next year. The rider of Team Vorarlberg Santic confirmed that yesterday after his victory in the Osst-Flemish closing prize in Zele. "Officially, I can not say that," winked Stallaert, "but let's just say that I will take a step higher next year."

    Norwegian riders update:
    First a non-confimation-confirmed:
    #unox Anders Skaarseth will remain #unox Anders Skaarseth (he was a stagiaire with #cofidis, no deal)

    Then, a rumour:
    #fortuneo Sindre Lunke will probably be joining #riwal Riwal Ceramicspeed next year
    Stays at PCT level, in a team that's got to be better than Fortuneo  :cool
    Lunke is still the best Norwegian climber for the long uphills and was a part of #sunweb #rosa team with Dumoulin in 2017. I bet he can come back a better rider after letting go of #fortuneo. It's already been done by #uae Vegard Stake Laengen, and it can be done again, so this guy is probably a good deal for #riwal.
