Restrepo is a good signing and Mendoza is solid, but I'm a bit more sceptical about the others.

The most noticeable thing about them all is that they're not youngsters. Even Ochoa at 25 has been around the block a few times. I thought their aim was to be a quasi-Colombian version of TopSport, but these signings seem to show a different approach is now being taken.

    Perfect fit.
He can do off-road adventures, gravel races and whatnot, then do his usual thing in Utah etc.

They are now also losing one of their stronger riders (the only one who won anything above .1) to a continental team:

#manzana Hernan Aguirre --> #interpro Interpro Stradelli Cycling

    https://www.facebook.com/ipcprocyclingteam/posts/1002054886632630?__tn__=-R

Interpro seems to be upping its game, with #amore Bogdanovičs and some promising youngsters getting on board they should have a very decent team for 2019, but it's still a bit of an odd type of transfer

the guy related to the team on Cicloweb basically confirmed that there will be no more big signings for #wilier Wilier for financial reasons.

#bahrain Visconti getting on board seems to be a done deal though - same as Pippo leaving the team.

The signing of #roompot Etienne van Empel was announced in Dutch media the other day. There were rumors about #movistar Dayer Quintana, but there's nothing definite yet. To be honest, both transfers must be sponsor related anyway. Or Nairo pays the bill, or whatever.

Also (at least) four youngsters will join the team, Moreno Marchetti, Lorenzo Fortunato, Davide Gabburo and Umberto Marengo. "As a promising sprinter, we think Marchetti can add more to the team than Pelucchi could", the guy from the team said on Cicloweb about a possible transfer of Pelucchi, so they seem to be quite hopeful about him.

If the 2018 team got a Giro invite, then despite these financial difficulties they can still probably put together a potential Giro team of a similar level.

Something like Visconti, Quintana, Velasco, Zardini, Pacioni, Fonzi, Schonberger + 1

A more rounded team than the Mareczko version.

yeah, allegedly there's only one WC left for the three remaining PCT teams, but as Nippo (Moser, Lobato, Canola, Bagioli +4) and Bardiani (no idea) don't look much stronger, with Visconti there may very well be a chance. I'd say it would be about time for Nippo to get a shot again though.

#movistar Dayer Quintana seems to be more or less confirmed now

    https://www.marca.com/ciclismo/2018/11/08/5be48c7646163f46838b45e8.html

and another wtf type of transfer:

#astana Sergey Chernetskii --> #cajarural Cara Rural - Seguros RGA

    https://www.teamcajarural-segurosrga.com/en/sergei-chernetskii-talento-y-experiencia-al-servicio-de-caja-rural-seguros-rga

whatever reason Astana may have had to kick him out, it surely can't be down to performance.

not inked in I think, but the Italians on the forum seem to assume that it'll be two foreign + 2 Italian wildcards.

And on a different topic: the Wilier guy on Cicloweb said something along the lines of "if Savio let Tvetcov go, there must be a reason" by the way. So that's another door closed for Serghei

Even with losing Stallaert and Badilatti, Vorarlberg will still have a strong team in 2019.

#astana Astana has send out some nice words to all the riders they kicked out

    http://www.astanaproteam.kz/modules.php?name=astana&page=news&id=2311

Seeing Grivko's name among them is a bit of a surprise to me. No real idea where he may end up. Quickstep maybe?!

The only other rider without a team (as Korsaeth and Tleubayev retired) is Ricciardo Minali. Apparently he may join #academy Isreal Cycling Academy :lol :lol :fp

I first read it on Cicloweb, but someone on CN mentioned it earlier on. No idea if it's based on another source though or just an assumption copied from each other.

Not exactly the best development of a career for Kump and (especially) Per, but for Adria it makes sense to grab that opportunity of course. Can Kump top those 20 wins from 2015?

Raim is pretty much a pure sprinter, I'd say. But yes, if they really want to build up a big sprint train, they'd probably be better off with signing Pelucchi as well.

OK but Raim is never going to win against the big boys, Minali could feasibly do quite well.

The others are more hilly fast men.
