Where to watch Cycling on TV 2020
« on: February 07, 2018, 08:52 »
I don't know if this is where this should go, but...

With some help from a mate or two, I think these 3 links will pretty much outline all cycling coverage available from the various channels who look after us.

English and French coverage.

https://velopeloton.com/cycling-tv-2018/

Belgian and Dutch coverage. ( below the article)

https://sport.infonu.nl/overige-sport/164907-wielrennen-live-op-tv-in-2018.html

Italian coverage for their cup races.

Title has been updated, as has the link to Belgian and Dutch race coverage, to 2019.

    https://sport.infonu.nl/overige-sport/164907-wielrennen-live-op-tv-in-2019.html

Hopefully, something similar will appear for those other links.

a schedule for the Spanish Eurosport (player), but I guess it should be more or less the same for everyone:

Tour de la Provence must be a new addition?!

     They are an Irish outfit.
Freesports is part of the Premier Media Broadcasting group who deliver Premier Sports to the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Initially set up by Michael O'Rourke, a joint CEO and part owner of Setanta Sports, ten years ago.
Freesports started transmission 3 years ago. Best of all it's HD.

You are late to the party again, Joel. Search published a link to tv coverage in the race thread, days ago.
I posted all the Freesports info over on BR.

As you are in the UK, you also have access to full coverage of all the stages on demand, via GCN racing on YouTube. So, if you want to catch up with the stages you have missed, you can.

I look forward to you reading this post in March. :D

GCN Racing picking up quite a bit.

Their cross coverage has been good so let's see how Tour of Provence goes next week.

Due to some dispute between Discovery (the TV license holder) and their Indian partners (rights holders)... we've now got a situation where Dsport is now basically Eurosport. Had 3 live races this past weekend including the Black-hole tour of Langkawi. If it stays this way, and it's no guarantee that it will... in addition to GCN's new streams- good days. Can actually start following cycling again.

That said, have lost all the golf majors with 1sports still not on my STB.

Yeah, we now get the normal PGA tour. Can't really be bothered when it's on between 1 and 5 am.

Was a weird scenario on Sunday where the Herald sun tour on the TV and online (one on youtube with GCN and another on an OTT platform). When it rains....

unfortunately for me - the same rights issue that Discovery Channel were having in India has also been happening in Australia.

So now Eurosport is no longer on Foxtel (cable tv) ... but is available on another streaming service that you pay monthly for individual access.

that would have been great for me a while ago as I was looking at cancelling foxtel and then would have just been able to get eursport separately ... but now due to other reasons I have to keep foxtel - so have essentially just have to pay more now for eurosport.

    annoying
