Surely good picks, but we'll go with #vorarlberg (formerly also a DS at #cervelo Cervelo and #iam IAM) Marcello Albasini's son Michael instead.

So regardless of who Josedin chooses (has he been given a nudge 36 hours on?), we have 97 points left in our budget: what happens now?  Invite people to come up with a "If I had been willing to spend a bit more, I would have gone for..." in their own category?  Invite suggestions to improve other people's selections?

I'm happily open to suggestions of riders that might be better in the 2 categories that I picked.

I think both picks are fine. Breschel could be a potential replacement for Tuft, bringing us closer to the limit, but no idea if he is really a better pick.

I specifically don't pick riders that are in my main or youth team, but they usually are all on the long list unless the category precludes that from happening. Not that being on the long list means I have confidence in them or that I think they'll all have barnstorming years, but I think my three should do okay this year.....for once!

How about the similarity between people's main team and the collective effort? I am at 2/33.

now seeing the low popularity of our team, much more similarites would have been difficult to achieve indeed ;).

We ended up with 27 riders which are in less of 25% of all teams:

    VANMARCKE Sep   600   1
    ALBASINI Michael   317   1
    ELISSONDE Kenny   156   1
    KIPKEMBOI Salim   111   1
    TUFT Svein   61   1
VENTOSO ALBERDI Francisco Jose   55   1
    MAWDITT Lionel   36   1
    ARERUYA Joseph   256   2
    VINCENT Léo   77   2
    ALAFACI Eugenio   5   2
    VLASOV Alexander   180   3
    SAJNOK Szymon   196   4
BETANCUR GOMEZ Carlos Alberto   187   4
    MAS NICOLAU Enric   897   5
    BJERG Mikkel   152   8
    MARCHETTI Moreno   33   8
    WILLIAMS Stephen   63   9
    DE KLEIJN Arvid   5   9
VAN DER HOORN Taco   396   10
HODEG CHAGUI Alvaro Jose   558   11
    GANNA Filippo   190   11
    CUMMINGS Stephen   45   13
    KÜNG Stefan   437   14
    GARCIA CORTINA Ivan   153   14
    GULDHAMMER POULSEN Rasmus   12   16
BERNAL GOMEZ Egan Arley   1130   26
    KUMP Marko   54   27

Many of them are pretty high profile, so hopefully it'll be fun to follow at least :cool
