    Who

    DE KLEIJN Arvid  5

Apparently clocked up 190 points in 2017, but in 1.1 races that I paid no attention to, so he is a who to me at least.  So he might recover some of whatever quality he had then to improve on his 3 month knee injury and one 16th place this year.

Ok i got you some money back..

My Baroudeur for the money is a cracker Ivan Garcia  :cool

Now continental dominator - such a big enormous pie of nothing... and im sure some goodies will fall into this pot but we dont know them yet as still without contract, or being secretive.

But ive picked Miguel Angel Reyes, let go by Nippo this year but PCS have him joining EPM back in Colombia...  :s

My formatting may be sh*t - you should expect that

My pick is even smaller than Rujano. No prizes for guessing that he's a one trick climbing pony. Should get a decent calendar with BridgeLane or whatever they're calling themselves.

    The CXer

I make a submission with a proviso.  In the past, there has been a rule specific to dopers that anyone who has served a ban and therefore gained few points takes pre-ban years as his price (except the Costa clause): I have PMed Skidmark to ask whether this also applies to non-dopers who have punched their way to a ban.

If the answer is no, then I submit Lars Boom, who should flourish one division down and with more leader possibilities.

If Skidmark rules that hitting Preben van Hecke is as bad as getting a hit of EPO, then I will go 10 points cheaper with Tony Hurel, after a year in club cycling, who has shown enough to get himself another contract, so no reason why he shouldn't get some results on the French 1.1 circuit.

One reason - 55 points. Oh, and the complete dearth of choice. But he may get more chances given the paucity of the CCC roster.

okay, yes, having a look at it, it is more difficult than I thought it is - at least if you don't want to go down to continental level. Also guys like Ulissi, Visconti, Kreuziger and so on are pretty expensive.

And sitting at 530 points, it's probably also not worth to gamble on a Santa comeback :D

Yeah, the category might need replacing in future years. Not too many options about.

I was surprised by one name that turned up. Trentin!? He keeps that well swept under the carpet.

There aren’t many to be honest, and those that are are very expensive. I didn’t know about Trentin either.

Maybe we change the category next year to 'Rider who is likely to get a ban'.

okay, yes, having a look at it, it is more difficult than I thought it is - at least if you don't want to go down to continental level. Also guys like Ulissi, Visconti, Kreuziger and so on are pretty expensive.

And sitting at 530 points, it's probably also not worth to gamble on a Santa comeback :D

#28   The fall from Grace rider WT -> Conti

Conti only, or can it be PCT?

They have to be riding for a conti team this year, but the way I read it is that the move down from WT doesn't have to have happened this year and there could have been an intermediate move involving a PCT.
