So are we going to have another go again next year and see if we can improve on our performance from this season?

Is this you volunteering to be in charge and set it up Carlo? ;)

No harm seeing who is interested, but it wouldn't seem much of a collective if only 4 or 5 of us sign up.

I could be. I'll drop everyone who took part last year a DM or if people are interested say you'd like to take part in a reply to this thread.

So we have at least six so it would appear we have met Leadbelly's needing more than 4 or 5 for it to be a collective. If we give people till the end of Saturday to sign up to see how many takers we get.

What are peoples thoughts on the rider categories? Shall we keep them the same as last years which were

    #1   GC rider
    #2   Young GC rider
    #3   Cobbles rider
    #4   Young cobbles rider
    #5   Sprinter
    #6   Young Sprinter
    #7   ITT specialist
    #8   Young ITT specialist
    #9   The Climber
    #10   The Random Eastern European
    #11   Who?
    #12   The Baroudeur/Mr Breakaway
    #13   The Continental dominator
    #14   The One Trick Pony
    #15   The Colombian Climber
#16   The Drugs Cheat (has served a ban)
    #17   The CX-er
    #18   The Trackie
    #19   The Domestique
    #20   The Glue Factory One
    #21   The African
    #22   The Sponsors Pick
    #23   The Injured One
    #24   The Pretty Boy
    #25   The Scandi
#26   The Close But No Cigar
    #27   Sleeping with the Enemy
#28   The fall from Grace rider WT -> Conti
#29   **"Had One Good Season A Few Years Ago..Another One Soon"?
    #30   The Next Big Thing™
#31   The Non-Traditional Cycling Nation One

Can't think of any interesting ones off the top of my head, but there's always ones like The Puncheur or The All-Rounder if we want to pare down the more boring categories like the two TT riders.

Speaking of the more boring categories, I think if we end up with some people having more picks than others (which is likely unless we get 11 in the collective), then they can should given a boring category as their extra pick.

    Some other potential categories.

    The (first year) Neo Pro

Surname beginning with [?] - person with category is given a random letter by Carlo or whoever. Some letters would need to be omitted for obvious reasons.

So It looks like we have 12 of us this year. I'll re do the picks to include Armchair Cyclist later this evening. Sorry if this is of inconvenience to anyone.

It wasn't as if we'd made any selections yet anyway.

    Can we trade picks?

I assumed my like would be considered a throwing in of the hat: you said there were however many without saying who that included.

Oh well, make me a sub.

If anyone wants to volunteer to have only 2 picks they can. I'll only have 2 so if there are 2 others who would that would give us the right amount otherwise it will just be luck of the draw.
