It's not all good news for Deceuninck however.

    :(
Deceuninck must be satisfied with the publicity they get from their new investment. To put things in perspective, this is clearly worse than the  Sagan behavior on the podium of de Ronde in 2013...  :-x

My bet is these behaviors wouldn't be as common as they are in top rank cycling if boys and girls weren't kept apart at almost all times like some 1950's school. Racing at the same venue at the same time creates respect.

I intentionally label these racers as boys, cause they don't behave like a real man should.  :angry

Did wind conditions change during the stage? I wouldn't have had Conti and Winner down as better TT-ers than Bohli, but then it is early season and it wasn't on TT bikes.

I wonder to what extent, if any, the decision to boot Iljo Keisse off the race, will impact Master Evenepoel's prospects, given the need to look after Alaphillipe?

I see that Pat Lefevre has thrown his usual tantrum and is threatening to pull the entire team.
I think we all know that won't happen.

An earlier kick off today, no?

None of the team's riders appeared for the post-stage podiums and jersey presentations.

"This is not a protest. Our riders felt a bit tired and not so good after the stress and efforts of the past few days, so we decided not to let them go to the podium ceremony. "

You’d expect Remco to be a bit further forward than he is, especially now he’s 19 and has completed 5 stages.

I doubt the kid has much of a future.

San Juan (and San Luis before it) has a habit of throwing up unexpected break wins on flat days. I remember Gaimon's win at San Luis had a lot to do with the tailwind and yesterday I think was the same.

it was not a bad breakaway though. How did Tivani end up back in Argentina btw? He was pretty much the best rider at Unieuro...

Trevigiani merged with Sangemini and probably thought him surplus to requirements, preferring to sign various Italians.

They may regret that now ... :-x
