Patrick Gamper #tirol --> #bora
Also the final signing for #bora, ending up with 27 riders for 2020.

    confirmed now:

    #katusha Mads Würtz
    #katusha Rick Zabel
    --> #academy Israel Cycling Academy

    https://twitter.com/yallaACADEMY/status/1195364481544654848

    no news about Politt yet. Alpecin looks likely to join Corendon, so they probably would be interested in taking him with them - but #academy will surely not let him go?!

    Meanwhile, the #katusha riders (and staff) have to call up the UCI bank guarantee to get their money for the last months of 2019: :(
    https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/katusha-alpecin-riders-to-be-paid-from-uci-bank-guarantee/

    I wonder if that has any influence on contracts running for 2020 and beyond ...

    with #neri Sebastian Schönberger rumoured to be bought out of his Neri Sottoli contract by #vital Vital Concept, it looks likely that KTM will move over and supply the French team (currently riding Orbea bikes, who will be with #fundacion Euskadi exclusively in 2020) with bikes next year instead

    first part of this deal is confirmed now:

    #neri Sebastian Schönberger --> #vital B&B Hotels - Vital COncept

    Celano -----------> #sapura

    We already know they'll be at Sibiu, but we can add NZCC, Herald Sun, Hainan, Langkawi and maybe some races in Italy to that.

    Another Italian will likely join him there. Ficara (my choice), Marini, Zurlo, Stacchiotti and Minali all spring to mind.

    Dowsett is a bit of a surprise as when the news of the merger was announced, he along with Strakhov, were named in articles as riders that, although they had contracts, would be leaving.

    Anyway they should have a strong TTT unit now when all the big guns are in the same race.

    I really hate this twitter habit of referring to people by their twitter handles rather than their names, especially in what is meant to be a news announcement.  How is the average user meant to know who AEclimber is?

    By now I think they couldn't secure Politt. If they had, he would have been announced long ago.

    Latest rumours are he'll go to Movistar - where he could stay on Canyon, and be undisputed leader in the cobbled classics.

    I think I've posted about this previously, but it's funny only because I was just thinking about this earlier today.

    You see it more and more these days, and not just in sports. It really is the world inside a bubble. I, too, don't understand why they don't just include the proper names as well, especially when it's part of an "official" announcement or coming from a sponsored source. It's turning into hieroglyphics.

    Well we'll know at the very latest by the 3rd of December. They're having their first camp in Croatia starting on that date and all the new riders will be there.

    FWIW I think he will be on the team. I hope it's just a case of them saving the best announcement till last.

    The only other Katusha rider who had a contract and of whom there is no concrete news as of yet is Battaglin. Rumoured to Groupama or Bardiani. They might have to take him whether they want to or not if they can't find somewhere for him (the UCI and the public probably wouldn't look too favourably on paying him to sit at home doing nothing for a year), maybe that's what's holding up other news on McCabe or the few other renewals (Boivin, Niv, Sagiv.....and Turek).

    Personally I'm looking forward to news on the CT team.

    Sounds, to me, like Politt has a few offers and is mulling them all over. Unsurprisingly.

    I think he has a contract with ICA though (as he was under contract with Katusha for 2020). So he can only sign elsewhere if they let him go - and why would they

    I’d imagine it would be easy to argue in law that things have changed significantly in this instance. Would be very expensive for ICA to try to hold on to him if he wanted to go elsewhere.

    well, we will see. Right at the moment, Nuyens is sueing van Aert for breaking a running contract after a merger.

    Apparently (according to some guy on CN) in his podcast (which I didn't listen to, as it's way too long) Zabel said that he is looking forward to rocking the cobbles with Greipel and Politt next year, btw

    It’ll be interesting. Nuyens could easily lose that case, ICA could be better just letting a rider leave than go through a lengthy and costly court case to keep him against his wishes. If someone didn’t want to ride for my team, then I’d shoe them out of the door as quickly as possible as it could affect the whole team.

    I had the opportunity to ask him shortly before the start whether he would drive for the ICA next year. Of course one does not always expect an answer under these circumstances. But Nils Politt said yes.

    both from the Cicloweb Forum:

    #neri (till 07/19) Moreno Marchetti --> #beltrami Team Beltrami Tsa – Hopplà – Petroli Firenze

    Marchetti at Neri was a complete disaster, by the look of it - the way I understood it, he actually wanted to retire from cycling. Now he is back with Beltrami, were he won five races in 2018.

    (tbc) #academy Edwin Avila --> #strongman Colombia Tierra de Atletas - GW Bicicletas

    not confirmed yet, but would make sense, I guess. He never really was able to reach his potential at ICA
