I can't see him staying with Movistar even if they win.
He'll have to, wouldn't he?

    The team want nothing to do with Acquadro and his riders now. They may win the case, but like Bora with Bennett could just let him go after that (for a fee to Ineos or free elsewhere?).

    The only way he stays is if he dumps his agent. I think a couple of their other riders have had to do that to continue on with the team.

    missed this one:

    #androni Matteo Busato --> #neri Neri Sottoli - Selle Italia - KTM

    makes sense, after somehow ending up as a pure workhorse at Androni this year

    #cofidis Darwin Atapuma --> EPowers --> #strongman Colombia Tierra de Atletas - GW Bicicletas

    they are getting a strong team together :cool

    The first races in Europa are confirmed as well, in "Italy, Croatia and Turkey" on from March, so I guess it'll be something like this:

    12.3. - 15.3.   Istrian Spring Trophy
    25.3. - 29.3.   Settimana Coppi e Bartali
    01.4. - 04.4.   Tour of Sicily
    12.4. - 19.4.   Tour of Turkey

    ...before coming back in July :)

    Used to be, now the only transfer (or not) I'm interested in is Savva Novikov. Looks like he's staying a Lokosphinx though unfortunately.

    My guess would be that the two-year bit of the deal swung it for Corendon because I can't believe that IKA didn't offer him some sort of contract after his late season showing (unless ofc he had signed before that run of form).

    Anyway they're building a strong team. The rumours are that a couple of Brits will complete the team - Richardson and xxxxxx?

    Interesting what you can find on Strava when someone does a ride and the "eight others" are all from one team

    Neri Sottoli -Selle Italia - KTM show themselves to be the destination of choice (or maybe of last resort) for Italian riders who can't get a renewal of their WT contracts.

    Enrico Battaglin  #katusha to  #neri
    Valerio Agnoli   #bahrain to  #neri
    Andrea Garosio  #bahrain to  #neri
    and joining them also, but moving up rather than down
    Federico Zurlo   #giotti to  #neri

    (formerly #sky) Alex Peters --> #canyon Canyon - dhb p/b Soreen

    While battling with his mental health, Peters spent time in hospital but thanks to the support of his family and close friends was able to turn full circle. Part of that was the realisation that cycling had been one of the aspects of his life that gave him enjoyment and so began to focus on getting back on the bike.

    In doing so, he met with Canyon-DHB-Soreen manager Tim Elverson and after a five-hour conversation at the team HQ in Fleet, decided it was time to return to professional bike racing.

    With #wanty Jérôme Baugnies and #delko Brenton Jones they also signed two more "bigger" names

    So Dennis to Ineos. No idea where he fits.

    Simple. He's there to drive the TTT. Not many this year though. I also suspect he'll be used to improve the other riders' positions.

    on the Cicloweb Forum, the user "Bartoli" (who works for Neri) also confirmed that Battaglin will not join them, but probaby "another Italian pro conti team". He didn't comment on the others though, so those could potentially be true.

    According to him, they also talked with #bahrain Pozzovivo, but he seems to be more likely to sign for #sunweb Sunweb (which also hasn't happened yet though).

    Movistar definitely seems to be struggling somehow, in whatever way. Some of those youngsters they signed may be quite promising, but lots of their guys now are hardly WT level.

    Do they have sponsorship issues beyond next season or something?

    I really don't know. There was this one problem was with the agent, but there must surely be better riders out there with other agencies?!

    looks like, in the end only #bahrain Garosio made it from that list.

    The article also confirms the rather odd signing of #differdange Jan Peterlin from Luxembourg, some Italians I hardly ever heard of, and #bardiani Luca Wackermann & #androni Matteo Busato.
