One rider is the big winner of the day: even for most of the other riders in profit, it is more a case of it was not as bad for them as for some.

Standings
The ten Roglic & Nibali teams once again occupy the top ten places, but in a rather different order than before the stage 6 breakaway. 
Because of Carboni, Shalgo was already the best placed of the Roglic teams, so no surprise that he regains the lead.  The next three places are taken by Amador teams,the top three on the day scores, each with a 10 place rise.  There are three more teams re-entering the top ten, but it is just outside that that we find the biggest riser on this stage: Nibali-less Roglic team Squire with a 20 place jump.
