Vital Concept - B&B Hotels ---------------> B&B Hotels - Vital Concept

More money and more foreign riders.
Maybe that will finally get them a Tour wildcard? :-x

If Katusha go the way of the dodo, there's definitely a possibility, but going by this interview they won't be going out and signing big names this year. Some helpers for Coquard and a few youngsters are much more likely.

Things are looking grim for Euskadi - Murias.

    Quote
Euskadi-Murias, present in the Tour of Spain as one of the four guests to the race (together with Burgos BH, Caja Rural and Cofidis), has a very complicated continuity in the platoon in 2020 due to lack of liquidity. The situation is such that runners have total freedom to accept offers from other teams for the next season.

There just aren't the riders or money for two PCT Basque teams and most of the local sponsors are with the Fundacion. A merger would be the sensible option, but even post-Madariaga that doesn't seem a goer.

Rider announcements have let slip that Dimension Data will be Team NTT next season.

Unfamiliar as I am with the world of high finance and megabusinesses, my understanding is that Dimension Data (based in Johannesburg) is no longer merely owned by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (Tokyo), but is under (since 1st July) a holding company NTT Ltd (in London).  The overall holding company is many times the size of the DD business (which was already big enough to be able to give an Ineos busting budget without any real difference to the bottom line), but who knows what their business culture will be as regards disposition to sponsor.  Their signings do not suggest a hugely expanded budget.

There seems to be some retention of Middle East and African aspects of Dimension Data outside NTT Ltd, but not the cycling team.  So where will the team be registered?  Will it still be "Africa's Team" (according to CQ, only 2 of their 9 African riders are contracted for next year), and what of the Qhubeka promotion?

I don't see the registration country changing from South Africa.
They will probably re-sign a couple more of their Africans and/or promote some guys from the Conti team, but the "Africa's Team" aspect won't have much priority anymore - if we're honest, it hasn't had much priority ever since they signed Cav and made the move to the WorldTour.

To develop African cycling, staying at ProConti level well-knowing that their best prospects would be picked up by bigger teams each year would have been much better. But the lure of the WorldTour was too big, and now it's basically just another team.

Het Nieuwsblad reports that the #academy #katusha merger is finally a done deal. They also say that ICA already has 27 riders under contract for 2020, not only 10 as e.g. on PCS - which doesn't leave room for all 11 TKA riders. Four of them, including Dowsett and Strakhov, will not be taken on.

    27 + 7 = 34 :slow

Unless the 27 already includes the seven riders that will remain from Katusha.

The four who aren't making the cut will at least have their contracts paid for next year which, although it's late in the season, will make finding a new team that bit easier.

    Yeah, I know.
It doesn't add up for me either.

The future is hanging by a thread.

Several of the riders are expected to sign for the Fundacion.

    :(

I've run into the team several times over the years, from Italy via Romania and France to Norway.
It's been a good time - and they gave me my first-ever race convoy experience back in the final stage of the 2013 Giro del Friuli Venezia Giulia when their local mechanic had to catch a train home mid-stage and was looking for a replacement. Good thing none of their riders suffered any mechanicals! :D
