Vital Concept - B&B Hotels ---------------> B&B Hotels - Vital Concept

More money and more foreign riders.
Maybe that will finally get them a Tour wildcard? :-x

If Katusha go the way of the dodo, there's definitely a possibility, but going by this interview they won't be going out and signing big names this year. Some helpers for Coquard and a few youngsters are much more likely.

Things are looking grim for Euskadi - Murias.

    Quote
Euskadi-Murias, present in the Tour of Spain as one of the four guests to the race (together with Burgos BH, Caja Rural and Cofidis), has a very complicated continuity in the platoon in 2020 due to lack of liquidity. The situation is such that runners have total freedom to accept offers from other teams for the next season.

There just aren't the riders or money for two PCT Basque teams and most of the local sponsors are with the Fundacion. A merger would be the sensible option, but even post-Madariaga that doesn't seem a goer.

Rider announcements have let slip that Dimension Data will be Team NTT next season.

Unfamiliar as I am with the world of high finance and megabusinesses, my understanding is that Dimension Data (based in Johannesburg) is no longer merely owned by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (Tokyo), but is under (since 1st July) a holding company NTT Ltd (in London).  The overall holding company is many times the size of the DD business (which was already big enough to be able to give an Ineos busting budget without any real difference to the bottom line), but who knows what their business culture will be as regards disposition to sponsor.  Their signings do not suggest a hugely expanded budget.

There seems to be some retention of Middle East and African aspects of Dimension Data outside NTT Ltd, but not the cycling team.  So where will the team be registered?  Will it still be "Africa's Team" (according to CQ, only 2 of their 9 African riders are contracted for next year), and what of the Qhubeka promotion?

I don't see the registration country changing from South Africa.
They will probably re-sign a couple more of their Africans and/or promote some guys from the Conti team, but the "Africa's Team" aspect won't have much priority anymore - if we're honest, it hasn't had much priority ever since they signed Cav and made the move to the WorldTour.

To develop African cycling, staying at ProConti level well-knowing that their best prospects would be picked up by bigger teams each year would have been much better. But the lure of the WorldTour was too big, and now it's basically just another team.

Het Nieuwsblad reports that the #academy #katusha merger is finally a done deal. They also say that ICA already has 27 riders under contract for 2020, not only 10 as e.g. on PCS - which doesn't leave room for all 11 TKA riders. Four of them, including Dowsett and Strakhov, will not be taken on.

    27 + 7 = 34 :slow

Unless the 27 already includes the seven riders that will remain from Katusha.

The four who aren't making the cut will at least have their contracts paid for next year which, although it's late in the season, will make finding a new team that bit easier.

    :(

I've run into the team several times over the years, from Italy via Romania and the Netherlands to Norway.
It's been a good time - and they gave me my first-ever race convoy experience back in the final stage of the 2013 Giro del Friuli Venezia Giulia when their local mechanic had to catch a train home mid-stage and was looking for a replacement. Good thing none of their riders suffered any mechanicals! :D

Salcano are dropping back down to the amateur level. Next year's MTB Marathon World Championships are being held in Sakarya and that is using up a lot of available local funds (or at least that's the gist I'm getting from Google Translate).

They've had an excellent season. Admittedly they have benefited a lot from the bumper racing calendar which Turkey enjoys these days and that's where virtually all of their results have come from. It's been good enough for them to finish 18th in the European Tour team ranking classement. Ahead of some PCT teams and the second CT team in table.

    Katusha-Israel? any news?

Argon18 bikes was the rumour a few weeks back.

meanwhile team manager Sandro Lerici has explained the situation. He says that he is still hopeful that everything will turn out good, but currently they are running through some problems they didn't expect, and he wanted to be open to the riders and keep them informed.

That much is obvious. Otherwise they'd have been on the list of licence applicants the UCI sent out in early October.

There'll be a state funded CT team again in Colombia next year, the "Colombia Tierra de Atletas-GW Bicicletas", including a men's elite team, a women's one, U23 and some youth stuff. It will use the structures of the current #strongman Coldeportes Bicicletas Strongman team.

The men's team include some well known names:

    #interpro Hernán Aguirre
    #strongman Oscar Quiroz
    #strongman Brayan Hernández
    #claro Miguel Rubiano
    #strongman Diego Cano
    #cajarural Nelson Soto
    #strongman William Muñoz
    #strongman Omar Mendoza
    #beltrami Ignacio Montoya
    #strongman Camilo Andrés Pedroza

The Strongman always used to do some races in Europe in the first half of the year, and from what I have heard, they are interested in doining a certain race in July in 2020. So I guess we can expect them to see there European program being enlarged a bit.

with #neri Sebastian Schönberger rumoured to be bought out of his Neri Sottoli contract by #vital Vital Concept, it looks likely that KTM will move over and supply the French team (currently riding Orbea bikes, who will be with #fundacion Euskadi exclusively in 2020) with bikes next year instead

    https://twitter.com/Biarnes72/status/1189894769432023040

no idea what this means for Neri. They have signed some youngsters, but most good guys (and there weren't exactly many of them) seem to be leaving.

as expected, this "high budget, aiming to go PCT" project didn't work out as good as advertized.

Race participations were cancelled late on, and looking at the schedule of guys without money on the bank (like Lizde or Zhupa), it's probably likely that were busy working in the Pizza shop next door to feed the family instead. Wippert pulled through but retired now, which fits the picture.

    Good bye, #evopro EvoPro :wave
