Stage 7  A muro

Those who splashed out on the most expensive rider in the game will feel vindicated.

Green points

On the day

1   Koronin, Search   73 (Valverde and Aru)
3   Rote_Laterne   65 (Roglic and Lopez)
4   LosBrolin   50 (Roglic and Majka)
5   AmisVelo, BikeRacer33, Bminchow, Del1962, Googolplex (Roglic and Aru) Northerner, Salvarani, Vladimir (Lopez, Quintana and Aru)   43
13   BicycleBoy,    Shalgo   40
15   Leadbelly   38
16   Laarsland   35
17   BluesInTheBottle   30
18   Lopez and Aru teams   28
28   Lopez no Aru teams   25

Overall

The top three remain as they were, but Bicycle Boy moves up a couple of places behind them.  Vladimir, Salvarani and Northerner all move upwards, the last of these into the ten, but the big jumps lower down were Search (18 places) and Koronin (16), escaping last place.

Red points

For the highest placed GC men, this is largely a return to where they were at the end of stage 5.  No-one had picked either of today's DNFs.  Quintana takes the Green jersey, which causes additional shake up, to the detriment of the teams with Sam Bennett.
