Well that's over 24 hours since the last pick and the second one Armchair's missed. I hope he's just gone on holiday rather than something more serious. Onto Carlo and somebody who has been injured in 2019.

Sorry guys.  Wife was in hospital so everything was up in the air (all OK, except that I am behind on non-essentials).

Didn't realise it was quite that long since I had been here.

Can't do it right now, but I shoyuld before the evening is out.

Thanks for the good wishes: a bit of a scare, but she seems fine now, and back home.

Mr Loyalty: a tricky restriction, what idiot suggested that?  But I found someone with a sufficiently lazy agent: he had done two 4 year stints before embarking on what is to be a 6 year association with his current employers Christopher Juul Jensen.  Did a bit more research and began shortlisting for my own team (although after top tens in the first two years of the game, I have done appallingly ever since), and have come up with a better option.  Max Kanter has been on Sunweb and its development team for three years, with at least two to follow.  A return to what he did as a 20 year old would see a 2500% return.

I spy with my little eye, someone beginning with A:  there were a few possibilities, and at least this is easier to verify than the loyalty one.  I still have faith that he can recover: Fabio Aru.

Sorry: I wasn't going to recalculate the points left for those between 14 and 21 on the picks list, so I moved it.

Looking ahead to my next pick, does the drop from WT to Conti have to be in the current off-season, or is it anyone who has been WT and is Conti in 2020?

As Froomedog has already been taken, I’ll go for:

    ARERUYA Joseph for 79.

Can I change this to GEBREIGZABHIER Amanuel Werkilul for 207 please. It appears Areruya is moving to a team in the Caribbean.

I was more thinking about Rajovic and Grosu, but yeah, all in all probably a bit too many sprinters - and who knows what kind of visa issues he may have on top of that

Two years ago, those more in the know than me expected Areruya's European adventure to not work out. Sadly, they turned out to be right.
Racing in the Caribbean is nice and all, but it's just not Europe. And it doesn't give (many) CQ points.

Amanuel G a much better pick in this case.

    The injured one

He missed a large chunk of this year due to injury but hopefully he can come back and have the sort of season he did in 2018 so will hopefully be a good investment for just 5 points

    Sean de Bie

Edit to add can someone who is better than me at it update the table please.

I think we need to hold an investigation into this. First stop yours, JSG’s and search’s bank accounts to see whether young Heinrich has deposited a substantial sum of money there. The Velorooms Mafia (TM).  :lol

Haussler is more like "The Haggard One" these days. :P

    Scandi - Anthon Charmig

On the comeback trail with Colo next year. Very few race days the past couple of seasons (zero in 2018), but fairly recently he did compete in the Taiwan KOM Challenge and won ahead of Dyball and Ficara. Admittedly he was in a break which was given too much rope, but hey the climb is no cake walk.

ps. At said event, he also managed to pee off the locals (and their ancestors) by sitting on someone's tomb. Taiwanese social media speculated that he would from now on be cursed (and his butt might rot!). The VR Collective team could be the first step.....

Not quite sure if this quite counts as "Close but no cigar". He's had some decent results since turning professional but still to have his first victory

Dunbar meets the criteria. ie. he is on this list with 14 top-tens and zero wins this year.

So who don't I like? I don't hate any teams, but some teams are further down the scale than others or have an aspect I don't like.

#ef - Vaughters, his wish for a closed WT shop, late start lists, #exploretheworld, some of their (ex) riders (Phinney and Teabag).

#groupama - Really can't stand Madiot. He's probably fine in real life, but the cartoon "Madiot" winds me up.

#tarteletto - Some questionable stuff going on there this year.

I'm going for MADOUAS Valentin - 540 points.

No time to update the list unfortunately.

Fall from Grace, from WT to CT.   I considered Davide Appollonio until I remembered the rule by which he would be priced according to his 2014 performances.  It came down to a pick between two climbers dropped by CCC this year, Antunes or Zoidl: I plump for Antunes.

So the rider who had a good year a few years back due another one soon

Had a good 2016, ok 2017 missed the whole of 2018. A move to Correndon Circus mean he might have to work for MvDP in some races but hopefully he will get a chance to ride for himself in some .1 and .hc races

    The pick is

    VAKOC Petr 145 points.

Again if someone could please update the table for me as I got a bit confused with working out how many points were left with Joels undecided pick.
