Stage 3 in Andalucia ended up having very little in the way of television coverage.
Unfortunately the loss of pictures was apparently partly due to military planes being in the area. Which meant a lot of the action went unseen for everyone who wasn’t at the roadside between Jáen and Ubeda.
We did catch the finish (just) when the road kicked up in the final sharp incline and a further fiasco took place.
Jakob Fuglsang was in third wheel on the approach to the finishing straight when the two riders in front of him, Dylan Teuns (Bahrain-McLaren) and Jack Haig (Mitchelton-Scott), misread a sharp corner and went wide, allowing Fuglsang through to sprint for the line.

I don't know what today's video highlights managed to capture.

Meanwhile, in Algarve, Quick Steps run of wins was ended by a great collective effort from Sunweb, who pretty much bossed the bunch for the final 5 kms. A rejuvenated Sacha Modolo took second with Jakobsen only managing third.
The stage was three marred by a crash that saw three Trek-Segafredo riders collide with a traffic island and Edward Theuns, Jasper Stuyven and Koen de Koert all went down. For a while it looked as if both Theuns and Stuyven might be seriously injured.
Fortunately they were able to get back on their bikes and finish the stage.
