Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

Stage 3 will probably be of most interest for the Brit day-trippers. Does anyone know route details, profile etc., or where to find them?
The Tour's website say's details will be available in June, I can't remember them being this secretive in the past, particularly in respect of the early stages...

Thanks Dim, knowing the area well that was why I asked, if the route loops from the North there are two (not mountainous but...) seriously steep climbs heading into Boulogne, together with strong winds off the channel. Coming in from the south is much flatter and more protected...

my gut feeling is that it will loop to the north, contrary to that map, but the evidence and rumours so far suggest the south.

At least He accepts that If He is going to win it is going to be in the mountains...
But no Andy... The real world will destroy your dreams... 99km of ITT will do it specifically... If you really want to win it You have to train very hard the TT at least until you are better than Nibs... You dont have to be Menchov but you have to improve a lot in the TT... If I were you I would try to take every mountain stage and dont worry for the GC that will come in the way...

Poor Andy no TTT for Cancellara to pull Schleck's sorry ass to the finish.  Although what are the odds that Andy becomes the new Armstrong or even Heras in the Vuelta when it comes to ITT's.

I think the odds are quite good that Andy finds a new aptitude for the art of the ITT in this years Tour.

Sounds like someone made some rather bold promises at the start of the season and is regretting it.
