  :D
I've seen his fan club in action and they are quite intense!  But he's really good with them, makes time for them at the team bus and arrives armed with freebies for them.  That said, I'm not sure it's entirely fair to bundle them into the back of a car with no windows.  ;)

Things to do on enforced downtime due to a broken collarbone: pimp your fan club mobile! Fabu's words, not mine  :)

I have always liked Fabian, his tweets are funny, his racing style is awesome and he has a huge motor (inside not in his bike ;D).

Its funny that since M-SR and RVV I have started to feel a real affinity for Fabian.

Sure he has been shouting his mouth off, but he has tried to make races and he has clearly been one of the strongest this season.

Am I going soft?

Spartacus, the mighty, will return to the peloton in May at the Tour of Bavaria (Bayern). The operation was a success. The world breathes a collective sigh of relief. ;)

Hopefully Fabian will preform at the worlds, olympics and tour, helping a RSN guy on the top step of podium.
His form will be as strong in 6 weeks. An unfortunate bump for Cancellera. A great athlete, any team is lucky to have him
Cancellera honors every event he enters.

Well, he didn't do too well last year, and this year, with the accident, his season so far looks even worse. I hope he can come back in time for the TdF, Olympics and/or Worlds. I wish him a fast recovery. PR won't be the same without Fab.

Do the riders who carelessly toss bidons get a bollocking from other riders or it is simply everyone in the peloton has done it so no one says anything?

I saw after the Cav incident that he spoke with Zabel who then spoke to the riders involved.

Again does this come down to a move away from having a Patron in the peleton like the past?

I find Cancellara's apparent arrogance rather off-putting too. I'm not sure what to make of it - does he actually believe what he's saying, or is it something he does to reassure himself? Generally for me it acts as a deterrent to any feelings of admiration  ... until I see Cancellara in full flight. Then I'm often left quietly in awe of his power and stature on the bike and of his incredible bike handling skills. I think of him as the 'Swiss Stallion' - he strikes me as like a thoroughbred.

So mixed feelings in general, but his RvV accident and injury has yet again reminded me of the cruelty of this sport. Thankfully it's 'only' a collarbone, but to be in such good form and have the big goals of the season to hand, only to have all that disappear in a moment and due to a carelessly tossed bidon. Well ....
