Apart from SMH (rag) and SBS (box) there's been squat but then I don't expect there to be.

What a great video.

Who is the Movistar asking for a hug at about 5.45?
Despite the self-serving data benders and associated propaganda to the contrary, I am led to believe that there are pockets of organised, highly sophisticated dopers, even within 'new age' cycling teams. Personally, I don't accept that the 'dark era' has ended, it has just morphed into a new guise.

I saw that part too and had a wry smile.

In a blog Taylor Phinney wrote about the Vuelta he was saying Pablo Lastras was one of the nicest guys he had ever met in cycling .... so I think he is a genuine guy.  Great to see

Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

Well even if they do nothing in P-R, they've had a good start to the year.

Cooke, O'Grady and Vaitkus are all within a shot of getting a top 10 in my view, but so are another 20 or 30 or 40 riders.

Maybe it is friendly Australian media, maybe it is just they are being very open and all teams are the same but every time i read an article about GreenEdge i like them more. At the start of the year i felt like there was a bit of a rivalry with team sky and the whole Uk / Aus think meant i kind of wanted them to fail a bit. but all the behind the scenes stuff and some of the articles (especially reading stuff like this about how they are trying to help Danny T) has really won me over. Have actually started to want them to do well. would not have believed that looking back earlier in the thread.

or maybe i like a Man U supporter and only like them when they started winning

There's just no way to know with GE fans, apart from the earliest declared ones, they've been just so ace since the first race of the year that all could be ManU fans.

You could say the same about the early declared haters.  (not saying that this means that GreenEdge ARE like ManU, though).

A lot of people jumped on the hater wagon without any idea of who the riders even were.  A lot like when Sky was announced....

I knew who the riders where. I watched the annoying drip feed announcements like everyone else.

i have said all along that my dislike of them was entirely based on the sporting rivalry that exists between GB and Aus.

that and O'Grady. do not know why i just do not like the guy. cannot give a good reason for it.

Nothing special in that Backstage Pass really. They lack emotion all these guys, giving it to the camera deadpan. No humour nowt!

It is Paris Roubaix it can be a lottery to win it sometimes. You need incredible luck to avoid crashes, punctures etc and to have fantastic legs and mentality on the day.

But the camera on the front of the car really illustrates how tough the cobbles are. Remember the cars have suspension, the bikes don't.
