What the heck was wrong with LL Sanchez... That was a terrible time trial.

He looked like he hadn't ridden that bike before and was barely appearing to try at times.

I expected a lot better from him too. He's Spanish national ITT champion! He just looked exhausted from the start, and I agree it seems like he gave up after a while.

On the other hand, if Evans continues to have problems in the build up to the Tour, we will get a showdown with Alberto in Spain :D

recon we will anyways  ;D

I never though I'd say this but what you said is correct ACF, this tour without Cadel Evans would be a loss of great value.

I know barely a thing about cycling and people agree with me, sometimes... no, rarely, if ever.

I agree

Thanks (somewhat). I don't understand the sentiment behind the comment. People have often agreed with me on issue inculding you Havetts yet make similar comments towards me. Believe it or not, I also do know a thing or two about cycling.

Evans Looks Ahead
Evans said he is starting to ride into better form after a sinus infection slowed him after his victory at Critérium International last month. "I'm sorry I couldn't have a bit more strength to put on the course and put on the results sheet," he said. "When you come here with the No. 1 on your back, like I came here to Romandie, you come to win here . Unfortunately, things haven't been going so well for me this year for reasons a little bit beyond my control. But now things are coming together, which – going toward July and August – is probably more and more important for my year overall."

Better to get the bad luck out the way early in the year and with his much longer program this year, having a slower start to the year may very well be a good thing.

Tiralongo is always there  or there about. Good romandie for him. Michele at CN says he is planning for something at Il Giro.
