and final 3 are Brenton Jones, Anthony Giacoppo and Ryan MacAnnally

which looks familiar

i think that means that someone is winning now.

Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

Nice, Genesys will sweep the seconds in the NRS. And I'll take for granted that Cory Jane isn't a known name round these parts.

Drapac and Genesys seem to be bossing this race with Neil Van Der Ploeg the only rider who seems to be able to mix it up with red and orange

stage 5 goes to Drapacs Gordon McCauley and picked up a number of the bonuses on the way. Jordan Kerby came in third. for a large chunk of the race McCauley and Kerby were off the front together so implies the bunch caught Kerby pretty much on the line.

Stage 6 cancelled due to adverse weather.

Solid side ways rain and wind today. Whoaa!

Classic double stage action.

Pretty glad the arvo stage got cancelled.

When you have to go out and race in filthy weather it's easy to get psyched up. BUUUTT when a commisaire comes to tell you the police have cancelled the stage, well, it's hard not to smile just a little ;D

the first day was filthy wet and cold in the morning but we were lucky as our accom was nearbye so it was no problem to go back and have a shower.

the real problem with double stages is just the amount of clothing that needs washing at the end of the day.. ie in this mornings stage I had

-undershirt
-jersey
-knicks
-booties
-knee warmers
-arm warmers
-long sleeve jersey
-rain jacket
-head warmer
-long finger gloves.
-socks

Bam. All filthy

then for the arvo it was going to be (all fresh kit)
-undersh*t
-jersey
-knicks
-leg warmers
-arm warmers
-long sleave jersey
-long sleave thermal
-vest
-helmet inner
-more gloves

That is a LOT of washing for not much over 2 hours riding!

Looks like some good riding by genesys today

AJ made a real move in the morning stage, getting 3 firsts and 3 seconds in the 10 sprints and a total of 16 seconds and then won the stage for another 3 seconds. All this was enough to give him an 8 second lead over Lapthorne after the morning stage.

more crashes in the afternoon stage with the likes of Williamson from pure black and hamilton from Jayco having to withdraw as a result.

a number of sprint primes in the second race as well and Neil Van Der Ploeg took several of those with the wind really hammering the riders.

Luke Davison won the sprint in the end with AJ back in 5th but holding his overall lead. primes for Neil Van Der Ploeg meant he moved into second overall, 6 seconds back on AJ with Lapthorne at 11.

Looks like Flakemore and Brenton Jones had crashes in the later stages of the afternoon stage.
