I think he may be a little to old, but it would be nice to see him on some WT team and have a shot at some 'big' races.

I did not find these Michele @ CN

- Lampre is waiting for an ok from RCS to bring Pellizzotti to Giro; if they agrees he will sign with them.

- On Rai's Radiocorsa program they mentioned that as a team manager told them, Nibali has already a signed contract with Astana for 2013 and 2014 for roughly 2.5 millions each year.

- They even mentioned that the main reason for Gilbert under performance according to some other rumors he is having some personal problems (but didnt want to say of what kind).

Rumors from Rai's Radiocorsa;

-Nibali is talking to many team like Astana (already mentioned), Katusha and also BMC, which would have him as the "after-Evans".
-Vacansoleil is talking to Pozzato and Petacchi
-Cunego has a french team interested in him and it seems to be Ag2r
-An italian company is ready to pay for Cancellara to do the hour record at the end of this season at Montichiari and it seems Cancellara is considering it
-Rebellin is said to be racing this summer with Miche as he couldn't find other options

Why would riders start talking to other teams when it is only April. Jeez I would be getting on with the racing and only start thinking about talking in August at the earliest.

might ofc be Nibbles management starting the rumor to get a big re-sign from Leaky

mantova will play a big part in the transfer season there may be no more Lampre

I can understand the Thor one as he was one unhappy Garmin Bunny!

Nibbles should wait until after Mantova as he might be super hot property if half the Lampre guys (Cunego/Scarponi) cant ride for a season or 2.

I wonder is Di Luca hoping Mantova takes a load of these guys out of the peloton for a year or 2 giving his old ass more value :

Maybe Rebellin too.

2 years from now or 2 years when he signed with Leopard? Because I think I read something about one year left when the merger thingy happened, that's why most of the guys were screwed over, because they still had a contract.

Fuglsang top 10 GT guy? He only was 11th in a Vuelta with a very weak field. Admittedly, he had just done the Tour, but so had Mollema for example, and he was still 4th. I think this Giro will be his last chance to show he's worth anything as a GT contender. I like the guy, but I fear he will never quite make it beyond being a good domestique for actual GT candidates.
