EE cannot keep losing their better riders.

it has since been denied but still a rumor
Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

Mais non, Monsieur Dim. "Officiel" means official. JTL, Cataldo and Kiryenka are listed as "Officieux", meaning unofficial. Confusing, I admit, but there you go.

oh well thats just silly... I should have known that but assumed they would just put rumeur for rumours..

I hope the denial is true because it would be nieve of them to think they could lose riders and stay in the world tour. Not that I have considered their chances anyway.

Seems like it will probably be either Garmin or Sky, I would say Garmin would suit him well but Sky may be determined to get him.

Endura Racing has confirmed that its star rider of 2012, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke, will not ride for the team next year. The climber has been courted by a number of teams since a spring campaign that reaped wins in Tour Méditerranéen and Haut Var, with Sky and Garmin leading the charge to sign him.

Massively odds on to join Sky, surely? Especially after they've made room for him with the departure of Nordhaug.

:fp Because he has been  awful the past two years and is obviously not at the same level he was when he won his two Flanders...  ::)

to be fair, he didn't look too bad in the early part of the season this year (E3, de Panne and so on - not regarding results, just his style of riding), and I think he crashed early on in the Ronde, didn't he?

His main problem is mental I think, he still thinks he can win the Tour de France, stepped out of the belgian TT championships after being overtaken by Vandewalle and things like that. He certainly has the pure abilities to be a good domestique for Cancellara at Radioshack but I really don't know if he is mentally able to do a job like that.

According to Het Nieuwsblad also Cofidis and Europcar were interested in signing him, so he still seems to be quite well-respected in the peloton - at least more than I expected, I thought he would end up at Willems Veranda like Leif Hoste...

Just cutting bits from the release..
Quote
Brixia Sport SpA is the new sports company that has taken over the Liquigas-Cannondale Pro Cycling Team project, the professional cycling team led by team manager Roberto Amadio. With Paolo Zani as president and Amadio and Paolo Papetti as managing directors, Brixia Sport has recently acquired Liquigas Sport SpA which has managed the green and blue team since 2004. The wealth of experience from eight years of racing will be not be wasted though as Brixia Sport plans to reinvest it in the team’s future. During next weeks the company will announce also the sponsors and the technical partners that will support this new adventure.

Quote
We will strive to strengthen the organisation by making it more international and comprehensive, bringing young riders to the fore and setting ourselves ambitious goals. From a sports perspective, confirming riders such as Basso, Sagan, Moser, Viviani and Caruso is the first major step forward.

And at the end they add that..
Quote
In view of 2013 season Brixia Sport has renewed the contracts of 19 riders from the current team for the 2013 season. Ivan Basso, Peter Sagan, Moreno Moser, Elia Viviani and Damiano Caruso will be reference riders of the team and will be joined by Stefano Agostini, Maciej Bodnar, Federico Canuti, Mauro Da Dalto, Ted King, Kristijan Koren, Paolo Longo Borghini, Alan Marangoni, Maciej Paterski, Daniele Ratto, Fabio Sabatini, Juraj Sagan, Cristiano Salerno e Josè Cayetano Sarmiento.

Quote
Three, at the moment, the new signings: Italian Alessandro De Marchi (from Androni-Venezuela), Austrian Matthias Krizek (neo-professional rider from Marchiol-Emisfero-Site) and Australian Cameron Wurf (from Champion System) that already wear the Liquigas-Cannondale jersey in 2011. In addition to completing the squad, Brixia Sport’s plans for the immediate future also include focusing on maintain the team’s UCI WorldTour licence that team had already till 2014.
From Janraaskalt on CN

So 22 riders confirmed, but it doesnt seem like Brixia and in the market for big transfers, and it seems the team is going to lose some of its prominence though it will be speaheaded by some very talented young riders..

So finally a bit more clarity on Liquigas's or rather Brixia sport's future....

Good to see Liquigas survive. With Sagan, Moser, Caruso, Viviani, Basso, Sarmiento, Agostini, they still have an excellent team that should easily survive on WT level. They could use one more GC leader perhaps, unless Caruso really steps up, but with Sagan, Moser and Viviano they do have a team that could do really well on one day races and GT stages.

Too bad Oss left, they could really have used him, both to lead in some races and to help the others with his great lead-outs.
