They were interested, but I think it was between him and Luke Rowe, and I think Lukes time on 100% ME benefited as he was much more acquanted with the British setup, and Puccio was a bit too good to turn down. And with Kennaugh only in his first full year, Appollonio still young, it may have been one youngster too many.
In one way, Mallorca isnt serious racing, its a training ride for many, but at the same time there are some good names there and its a really good chance for Andy to show that he deserves some attention and a shot in the smaller races later in the year. For a full pro debut though he must be overjoyed.
I guess this sheds some light...
Andy Fenn report http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/11139/Young-guns-series-Andy-Fenn-makes-perfect-ProTeam-debut.aspx
"One would expect Team Sky to be a logical next step, but his manager Paul de Geyter and British Academy coach Shane Sutton advised against it. Team Sky had already signed up Luke Rowe and it would be better for Fenn to join Omega Pharma Quick Step, guided by Patrick Lefevre."

That's right enough, Julich looks after Nordhaug and Arvesen looks after Henao, EBH, Lofkvist, Appolonio, Puccio and Sivtsov. I had to hunt down the original article I saw that in just to make sure! http://www.procycling.no/article3295871.ece

I should know this myself but are Puccio, Nordhaug and Henao all part of the group specifically assigned to Kurt Asle Arvesen's watch/care? I'm fairly certain Puccio and LPN are. Regardless, it's definitely working well especially in KAA's first year in this capacity.
Not sure but saw on the team sky website Nordaug was crediting the work of Bobby Julich as his personal coach

I'm really pleased that Lars Petter has finally gotten a win under his belt for Sky. Would love to be able to see some footage of the stage.
there will be full 30 mnute highlights, maybe in about an hour, as soon as i can recode them.
