Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

GreenEdge with the shock win...

And slow times by the last 6/7 teams including Liquigas, BMC, Rabobank... suppose the wind effected the TTT

Can't write it off like that, Garmin were soundly beaten by GE as well. It could have just been a very good ride.

I thought you were just watching Paris-Nice?
Still, saved me the bother of watching a flat TTT.

I thought that the winning margin was pretty surprising, tbh. I stayed with Sporza till the end in the hope of hearing an explanation for Phil's collapse, but none was forthcoming. The Belgian commentators were literally speechless. They assumed that he must suddenly have got sick. This is the main talking point.

Spartacus was awesome, apparently (did not see, just heard). Another serious disappointment by the Rabos. ???

Rather amused by the onscreen split times including dropped riders and  showing movistar finishing behind Johnny Hoogerland.

    No idea

    BMC said this

    7. March 2012
    Donoratico, Italy
Increasingly strong winds made for some rough going for the BMC Racing Team as it opened Tirreno-Adriatico with a 17th place finish Wednesday in the team time trial.

    Never Found A Rhythm
Starting last of the 22 teams, the BMC Racing Team finished 58 seconds behind GreenEDGE's winning time of 18:41 on the 16.9-kilometer course. Of the last four teams to start, none was closer than 51 seconds from the winning time. BMC Racing Team Assistant Director Fabio Baldato said the wind was primarily a factor. "I was at the start and the conditions changed a lot," Baldato said. "The last four or five kilometers it was particularly bad. Plus, we never found a good rhythm." Matthew Goss (GreenEDGE) will wear the leader's blue jersey for Stage 2.

But Quinzato is sick been on antibiotics

but Phil looks like he does not care he was on the back in front of the TV holding on for a while Evans did a turn and the next picture Phil and 1 other not sure Schärr maybe dropped off.

Just watching. Phil out the back door faster than Andy Schleck's food.
Same problem according to ES commentator's.
Seems BMC's bug is able to cross borders.

I think its unlikely that Phil didnt want to work. remember him last year working his socks off for Taylor Phinney, bringing him through the pack, helping him out, when he wasnt even on the same team :D

it does seem that certain riders seem to attract disharmony.. Cancellara never happy, Evans always been deserted by his teamates, Gilbert frequently having problems, Huschovd never happy with his team. And yet youve got teams like Saxo, where even with everything that went on with Contador, total harmony. Weird.

If Spartacus, Husvhod, Evans and Gilbert lived on a council estate at least one of them would have an ASBO by now.

Geez , bit of a surprise but glad Greenedge got the win , BMC looked like they were struggling to keep five riders in the last couple of Km's , bit of work to do for Cadel to go back to back but he looked ok last night

    interesting

I was not expecting BMC to go out and set the world on fire ... Gilbert is not in form right now (not that he is a great TT'er, but he is ok), Cadel is just warming up etc.  But I was expecting them to do a bit better than this.

Makes for an interesting race thats for sure

My analytical mind tells me that all the 3 big favourites' teams posted useless times and Horner will be having a nice jig.
