Torckler wins the GC and Nathan Earle second.

Genesys saying that Jono Lovelock is third overall, surely that's not true. They're completely lovelocked.

From Genesys

The boys threw everything at the pure black today, kane walker , Blake hose and Jono lovelock all in the break. Great team work once again.

Think the break may have won the stage which is why Lovelock moved up to third

they had 5 minutes with 11kms to go

Aye, just seeing that now. Makes sense too, just a 4 man team for pure black, messed up Tonton's top 5 hopes.

Blake Hose in desperate need of a hosing down-

Fret not, it wasn't from an accident. He just had a bleeding nose that day.

Kid on the extreme left is ace

Kane Walker in the terrible thing called the ice bath. Awful.

be great if you could keep us updated as the year goes by

Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

Yep.

To be honest I was googling for articles from Borneo and couldn't believe it when I found a forum discussing racing in Asia. Awesome!

If I get any good second hand stories from Jelajah I'll pass them on no worries!

I am back in Melbourne at the moment training up for Tour of Japan and Tour of Kumano in a couple of weeks. As you'd see from the start lists, Kane Walker was the only one lucky enough to do both the races in Malaysia.

Cheers. It was good fun.

I went with the Landis approach of constantly pouring icy cold water over my head from the neutral spares car. That made a massive difference. I went through at least 20 bottles of water in the last 60k. Sure was a sh*tload hotter than the weather we had racing in Tasmania the week before!

Tell you this, it could've helped if some of the videos weren't taken in handheld video cameras. Do people still call them handycams? Pretty dodgy sounding name handycam.

They did have no official broadcast partner though, not as far as I could find anyway. Makes sense.
