Fignon - In my day, doping methods were derisory and the riders´exploits were massive.
For the last 15 years or so  it has been the other way rond: there is a huge number of ways in which riders can dope, and any exploits are derisory.

Just booked my ferry tickets for this. Thanks to the clocks going forward there is no 05:00 ferry. The 06:40 is too late (thanks to the hours time difference, 90 minute crossing and 90 minute drive) which means its a ridiculous 03:05 ferry (02:30 check-in!!!). There better not be a repeat of the MSR cock-up or I'll be seriously p*ssed off Mr C...

It wasn't that interesting (as MSR 2012), but you called it. Nice win by Tomeke. He's back finally at full strength and no injuries.

Nice blog, Neil. Thanks for that. Still can't believe you didn't let me stand in front of you at the barriers.

Gent Wevelgem was a bit of a strange one for me, I did not really get most of the tactics used and especially once Cavendish was gone the entire flow of the race changed. I was quite impressed with the overall strength of Quickstep during the race when compared to most other teams. Also the showing of several top names for the coming classics, most notbaly Boonen, Sagan and Cancellara, gives me a good feeling about the racing we'll be seeing in the coming weeks
