Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

    The UCI codes?

Dunno, but they'll be here at some point presumably.

As for Tao, it looks like he's already signed for Rabobank Devo...

My line of thinking was that AG2R might be after Coquard for next year, but I guess getting Gaviria wouldn't preclude that. Their sprinting cupboard is nearly bare apart from Dumoulin.

Feltet.dk: Klostergaards karriere kan være slut (in Danish)

Kasper Klostergaard has been called into the military after 12 years of dispensation and is now robbing through the mud on his knees instead of on his bike.

When he was in for inspection as a youngster, he was under education (as an electrician), so he got dispensation. Then he became a full-time pro cyclist, moved to Luxembourg, and got dispensation again. His contract with #riwal Riwal was full-time too - but now he had planned to ride for Riwal part-time and start in a job off the bike part-time. That's when they drafted him - 5 months short of his 32nd birthday, when he would have been become exempt ...

    Byran wanted by #bmc #iam #ag2r

IAM seems like a good fit although Pelucchi is their second- or third-string sprinter already and I'm still waiting for proof Coquard is better than that.

AG2R could do nothing with Appollonio and sold off Hutarovich when he was still fairly decent, so not sure that would be the right move.

Although the lack of a sprinter at BMC is glaring, that team is a bottomless pit where Coquard would be forgotten, a sprinter with no leadout sent exclusively to sh*t small races.

I missed this one last week, he already started in the GP Lugano for them

    #areazero PASQUALON Andrea -> #roth Roth - Skoda

He clearly was Area Zero's best rider last year, won the GP Südkärnten and a stage in the Vuelta Colombia, and came Top 5 versus a very decent competition in the GP Beghelli, Giro dell'Appennino, Trofeo Laigueglia and GP Ertrusch (all 1.1 races)

I don't really know what he is doing on continental level tbh, also on his last year with Bardiani he won a stage in the Tour du Limousin and came 2nd in the Coppa Sabatini. But however, this should be a massive boost for Roth Skoda

#roth Roth-Skoda is the 'farm team' of #lampre Lampre-Merida, so he'll be in the sights of a WT team now.

I don't know if he's still sharp or if they even have him for next year but Oss used to give spectacular lead outs to Sagan and Viviani. He hasn't had anybody faster than him to lead out at BMC so we haven't seen that skill set much for a while.

Coquard is quite small and definitely needs support in the sprints. And he needs a team that will support his track career so it could be tough for him to get the right fit.

    Yes.
Merida Benelux have long wanted to have a Dutchman on the team. Now they plugged Dekker (via the media only by the look of things), and Saronni shot it down.

according to today's Gazzetta yesterday there as a long meeting between Ekimov and Luca Paolini's manager Alex Carera. They have not come to an agreement yet though

...but it certainly doesn't look like Paolini has plans to retire any time soon.

Paolini definitely has a few years left riding and I expect him to make the most of them and also positioning himself for whatever he wants to in his next career. We know he's smart!

I noticed him throwing out some strategic complements towards Sky and BMC and he definitely sounded like a man on the market.

Sporting-wise, the guy who needs Paolini most is Bonifazio and they have the same agent. I think Paolini will be going for the most money and opportunities beyond the sport though.

Didier Chaparro seems to finally have signed for Vini Fantini, he is listed as riding for the team on the website of the UCI

on PCS he is also listed to start in the Giro del Trentino already, but that's wrong.
