Santaromita ------------> #skydive

it's an interesting signing, especially because he apparently had offers from Astana and Dimension Data (in case they go WT), but he didn't come to an agreement about his role at Astana and didn't want to wait for the WT status to be confirmed.

It looks like Skydive is heading for a bigger focus on the Italian calendar next year though (and maybe even run during the summer break?), so he could end up with a schedule that is fairly well suited to his abilities and open the door to a better offer for the 2017 (or stay with the team in case they go pro conti)

    #ag2r Nocentini is still looking for a new team for 2016

    http://www.gazzetta.it/Ciclismo/01-12-2015/nocentini-aspetto-chiamata-ma-rischio-smettere-1301144029530.shtml

    the only real possibility at the moment is Caja Rural, but only after having the guarantee to get an invite for some of the important races in Italy. He is disappointed in Ag2R not making things clear earlier on after working together for 9 years, and in all the teams not making him an offer but just say "no money". The only one who was honest to him is Savio, who said he could only sign him for the minimum wage, which wouldn't feel right to him.

    And only after Noce persuaded an Arezzo business to sponsor Savio's team by an amount equal to the minimum wage ... :shh

    Villalobos (recent Vuelta a Guatemala winner) -----------> Canel's-Specialized

    Canel's return to the CT level in 2016 according to the article. Targeting Mexico, Gautemala and races in the US.

    Last Mexican CT team was back in 2009. Metropolitan Green Planet were supposed to be making the jump as well, but that was a rumour from months (a year?) ago and nothing more has been heard.

    #veranclassic Gorik Gardeyn --> Sharjah Team (new *ae ct team)

    http://www.directvelo.com/actualite/47819-gorik-gardeyn-dans-une-continentale-des-emirats.html#.Vl_8uUfouHt

    I couldn't really remember Gardeyn although he was in the WT with Unibet, Lotto and Vacansoleil, but what I found interesting is that #veranclassic Veranclassic is racing in *ae currently, and the DS Coupé said to directvelo last week that Gardeyn would try to show himself in the race the get the chance to sign a contract - well, and it looks like it worked :)

    Also, according to Biciciclismo "Messineo currently is doubtful to start the season with the Americans". So is that transfer under threat or are we just talking an injury or something?

    http://www.ciclismointernacional.com/leandro-messineo-no-correra-en-inteja-mmr-por-problemas-burocraticos/

    Transfer cancelled unfortunately as he brought the average age over 28 for the team, or a cynic might think that since he didn't get them an invite to San Luis, he was thus superfluous (but that's probably unfair as he doesn't seem too bothered and they seem to have parted on good terms).

    That would be a real shame.
    #roth Roth-Skoda already have 25 riders, otherwise that could have been a good team for him.
    Not sure if he'd step down to Conti level?

    #movistar Enrique Sanz --> #southeast Southeast
    How and why does Unzué's son-in-law switch teams from #movistar to #southeast?! :o

    Madison Genesis confirmed that it has retained the core of its British squad with Mike Northey, Tom Stewart, Erick Rowsell, Tobyn Horton, Matt Cronshaw, Matt Holmes, Joe Evans, and Tristan Robbins back in 2016. Tom Scully has moved to Drapac and Mark McNally has moved to Wanty – GroupeGobert, with new signings Felix English, Grufford Lewis, Alex Blain and Taylor Gunman added to the team.

    I had missed that move, here is an interesting feature about it

    http://www.velouk.net/2015/10/30/feature-mark-mcnally-returns-to-belgium/

    Talking about how he made contact with the team, he explained “I was third in a UCI 1.1 and I was away with two of their guys all day and one them won and I was third. It went from there.”

    somehow ironic that the guy from #wanty winning the race (Leukemans) ended up without a contract though :D

    "Björn is 39 years old and is obviously in the twilight of his career. More importantly, it does not really displayed a mentality in line with the group project. Let's say this is not someone who is in sharing of experience in transmission, while we have young riders who can take on a new dimension, as Jans, Baugnies, Backaert ... "

    "[we have kept your "old veterans" from Italy because of] Our 'main sponsor' Wanty, which is located in the Central Region to the Alpine unwavering attachment, identifies strong Danilo Napolitano (34 years). This has raised doubts that we fed. The renewals Enrico Gasparotto (33) and young Simone Antonini source flowed. As for Marco Marcato (31) is a charming guy ... and a classic leader who will feel a bit liberated by the departure of Björn Leukemans. "

    So in other words, Wanty demanded that the Italians stay, and Leukemans was heading for the glue factory anyway - plus he demanded leadership in races where others could have shined.

    Has to be track, right? I don't see how Andriato should be considered for the road race.

    And interesting that he and #funvic don't get together - seems they're just as entrenched with their old teams in Brazil as in Colombia.

    mmh, he signed with #crelan Crelan-Vastgoedservice last month though. Looks like he got out of there somehow, or Lotto had to send them a little paycheck

    Breaking news from Portugal... Sporting have agreed some sort of deal with the Tavira team (previously known as Carmim-Prio and BancoBIC). Thus, 2 out of Portugal's 3 big teams will be on the road in 2016.

    ...and they seem to be very interested to sign #ag2r Rinaldo Nocentini

    an announcement is expected for today when they present the team for 2016.

    only eight riders were presented today from the 12 the team will have for next year, but apparently Nocentini and also #efapel David de la Fuente are among those four names still missing
