decent signing, yeah. If I had the choice, I'd have picked up Thwaites instead though, especially given the enormous amount of (mostly Belgian) semi-classics Riwal is usually participating in.
Good point. Maybe they're getting Thwaites too, just announced later?[1]

Though for chasing a Tour wildcard, getting someone who is at least slightly useful in the mountains makes sense. With Shaw, Lunke etc., they can go for some sort of result in an ASO stage race - Paris-Nice, Volta a Catalunya, Dauphiné - which is generally required before you're considered for a Tour invite.
