    I'm skeptical.
    Last off-season, the same rumours abounded - until Rebellin shut them down:

    As it was, he took another year with #meridiana. He's clearly still friends with the manager - but whether this will result in an actual contract or not remains still to be seen in my opinion.

    Serghei heads back "home", same as some other former Jelly Belly riders:

    #sapura Serghei Tvetcov
    Jonathan Clarke
    Ulises Castillo
    --> Wildlife Generation Pro Cycling

    https://twitter.com/Cyclingnewsfeed/status/1337487785037602822

    According to Italian media, #sapura Celano and Ficara are very likely to stay with Sapura, so the team should be fine. Their team manager said, they will even line up two teams in 2021, one based in Europe, and one in Asia.

    I hadn't noticed this rebranding of Jelly Belly (I suppose they have had little chance to make an impression in Year Covid):  as a cycling fan, I am happy to see a team preserved when a long term sponsor pulls out and especially to see an ethical company come in.

    But as someone interested in conservation issues, I feel uncomfortable.  Leisure and commuter cycling are ecologically pretty sound, but this sport is predicated on largish groups of people flying around the world, attended by fleets of motor vehicles: it does not have great green credentials.  And if the purpose of the team sponsorship is to promote what some charitable foundation is doing, what is it doing? I cannot find anything on google about "Wildlife Generation" that is not about the team.  And the video about "Our Mission" on the team's homepage may have pictures of eagles and bears, but tells nothing of what work is happening by way of "educating the public about wildlife conservation and promoting sustainability of habitat."

    It looks like somebody has funds earmarked as dedicated to ecological goals, but has decided to use that money instead to sponsor a cycling team that obliquely refers to conservation wishes.

    (Sorry: a bit of a tangent in the transfers thread, but this is the only place I have seen this team mentioned)

    quite an unexpected transfer, to see el Fares back in the WT after 11 years on lower level. Maybe the Nippo-connection was of whatever kind of help there

    Nice! Also keeps him in the Sibiu sphere. :cool

    On another note, that is a horrific URL on the team website. :o

    It's been rumoured for a while. I'm sure I said at the time of the rumours that it would be the best CT option for him. Guaranteed invites to all European .2 races and enough visibility to keep him on bigger team's radars for 2022. Too late for CQ though...

    Mid-season transfer for Biniam?

    I was reading the other day/week that despite their financial woes, Lannes wants Delko to continue, but if it does it will only be with the cheap guys. I guess that could mean a drop down back to CT.
