Wonder if any of the grand tours will feature a TTT in the coming years……

    OK, I stumbled in here just to share some news on a contract. I think it is called an «upgrade» from a standard 2-year neoprodeal  to a 3-year deal. However, this one probably wasn´t one of the «free upgrade» stuff you see in advertising.

    (Notice the @mention in this tweet  :-x )

    https://twitter.com/unoxteam/status/1433471574900891649

    I think that is the Unox response to young talents leaving the team early? These are the ones they are going to keep!

    EDIT: for this that don´t know their faces, this is the Tour de L´Avenir winner Tobias Halland Johannesen and his twin brother Anders + the unox cycling boss. The boss is in the middle, , the two others, I don´t have a clue   :D

    Qhubeka was the rumour, but there is a WT team with Canadian links and riders already.

    yeah, Argon 18 would be another option, if they plan to supply a WT team again - but maybe they will end up at the same team anyway

    With Froome now a part-owner and board member of Factor Bikes, #israel won't change bike suppliers for the foreseeable future.

    yeah, they are confirmed for 2022 already at least. But is #israel really an option? I'd think Qhubeka (or even Deceuninck) is more likely.

    Van den Berg + Healy + Shaw + Quinn + Steinhauser + Kudus + Delettre -------> #ef ?

    The last two are more at the rumour level, while the others are done deals according to Wielerflits.

    Those seven are of course in addition to the already announced Chaves and Eiking.

    Didn't realize he was from Dungannon. Norn Iron hasn't exactly had too many top level cyclists. Hutch, Houvenaghel, Downey and errr Connor McConvey is about all I know in recent years.

    Plus Phil Deignan from Donegal - which isn't in the Six Counties, but nevertheless more northerly than most of Norn Iron, and absolutely part of the province of Ulster.

    Not the team I would have gone for, but they must have been the only suitors that made themselves known, and after last year Mihkel probably wanted something sorted sooner rather than later.

    Good signing for them. If he could repeat his performances of this year, 900+ UCI points could be very important for the team in 2022.

    probably, yeah. Would be kinda surprising if Total decided to still invest a lot of money here, though, after a completely anonymous first season, and with Sagan getting on board to win the same races EBH was supposed to shine in.

    Martyn Irvine and Dave McCann are relatively recent.

    And the McQuaid clan have their origins in Tyrone.

    And Ronan McLaughlin is from even farther north in Donegal than Deignan, and right on the border.

    Celano and Ficara will stay with #sapura Team Sapura Cycling for 2022.

    https://www.tuttobiciweb.it/article/2021/10/07/1633512883/intervista-danilo-celano-pierpaolo-ficara-pandemia

    This year they only did a single race (Tour of Turkey), but everyone was paid as normal, and for 2022 the team plans to come to Europe for a couple of months, even if quarantine restrictions stay in place.

    #qhubeka Dimitri Claeys
    #total Adrien Petit

    --> #iwg Intermarché Wanty Gobert

    https://intermarche-wantygobert.eu/news/claeyspetit/

    Claeys looked strong in the early classics this year, and Petit is always a strong contender for a "hot" Roubaix. Together with Kristoff, this looks like a very promising team for the spring.

    A little handy cheat sheet from Raul so you can see at a glance who's signed where for the WT and some of the PCTs.
