Poor old Tartu have been a bit too successful for their own good. Arm has joined Groupama Devo as you can see, Pajur signed for Arkea and Juntunen was rumoured to ICA. They'll have to reload for next year.

1 win in 2019 and zero in 2020, but strangely I feel in the past couple of years they've moved on from the fallow period they were in. I doubt that we'll ever again see the type of continental domination that TVA, Theuns and Naesen gave them, but they've picked up some good youngsters for next year.

Things looked a bit wobbly for the team. Rumours about all the big names leaving to various teams. At the end though Lopez is the only name to leave and they've got some interesting replacements.

Sisr had to retire due to cardiac arrhythmia. Kelemen and Toupalik are nice additions. No Turek which could be good or bad news.

The team finished second in the European Tour rankings behind Mazowsze and thus again have earnt an invite to all .2 races next year in Europe.

Some good reinforcements with IGC, Muhlberger and Lopez. They needed it.

Think it's enough for a Giro wildcard? Bardiani and Eolo are probably there already via sponsoring the race (sportingly though I'm not 100% convinced I would have them as the best two) and then if there is a third spot Vini are in a bun fight with Gazprom and Androni.

If the 2021 Giro starts with three pan-flat stages in Asia, maybe ... :shh

I honestly don't see why they signed Mareczko. On everything but a motorway stage, Stacchiotti is probably the better sprinter.
They'll have a hard time securing a Giro wildcard.

given the apparently pretty bad financial situation, I actually think Mareczko is quite a good signing. He knows the team very well (which probably resulted in a bit of a discount), they know what he needs to be successful, and if they get him into the right kind of races, he can win a lot - also more than Stacchiotti, I personally would think.

If i had have the choice between an ageing Visconti and Mareczko (I don't think someone like Aru would have been within reach for them - and I can't think of many other Italians of interest), I would have picked Kuba as well.

I'm certainly not a fan of his, but scanning through the teams of the five contenders, only Zakarin would have a higher % chance of getting a stage win imo. A couple of podiums or top-5s in the 2 or 3 sprints he can contest would be no big surprise. Is that enough though to vie with the more rounded teams or the teams with bigger chequebooks? I dunno.

Kuba’s main issue is his dreadful positioning. On the very rare occasions he manages to get over any speed bumps and comes round the last corner in the top 15 he has the speed. I reckon it’s a confidence thing, he doesn’t think he belongs with the top guys.
